The San Diego Chargers picked up a stand-out defensive lineman from the University of Western Ontario in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft yesterday. Vaughn Martin was selected 113th overall.
This is the highest a Canadian collegiate player has been drafted since 1986. He had recieved interest from 24 of 32 teams in the NFL, ultimately he worked out for 15.
