Norwegian Ping Pong
I could totally do this if I wanted.

Edits to Article Length Ratio...I think we have a new winner
Check out the Wikipedia page on Mr. Noodles (which, as I just learned, is Canadian). Now check out the number of edits. Pretty impressive giving that the article is basically one paragraph and a list of flavors (which seems to be a hotly debated area...).

Two steps forward, one step back.
Man drives wood burning cart to save gas, mother nature cries.

Loseipeg
Apparently the Blue Bombers cheerleaders have been caught "posing provocatively". The last paragraph of the news story just seems unnecessarily mean to me, though.

Update: never mind; I found the pictures. Nothing too exciting.

The world is just awesome
It seems that people have either seen this a hundred times or not at all, so I'll risk it.

And the inevitable xkcd parody.

The new sound of hockey
As you have probably already heard, the CBC is looking for a new theme song to Hockey Night in Canada. They have solicited Canadians to send in their own theme songs.

A hero among us has written the perfect theme song, "mostly comprised of cat and sheep sounds, baby cries, and gunshots/explosions". Make sure to vote and help make sure this song becomes part of Canadian history.

Rogers Shits the Bed with New iPhone Pricing
In case you haven't heard, it would appear that Rogers is dropping the ball with the launch of what the NY Times called the "Invention of the Year". Here's a couple of interesting articles regarding the launch, and why even if you wanted an iPhone, you might not be able to get one on launch day:

Apple allegedly sanctioning Rogers for iPhone rates
Spat with Rogers leaves Canadian Apple stores without iPhones

Basically the iPhone is a data device first with a phone attached to it. Since it provides Apple with a mobile storefront to sell iTunes music and video, it makes sense for them to divert units to markets with data plans that favour the consumer (enabling them to buy the iTunes content without a data fee from the wireless carrier).

I was hoping to join the 21st century by getting an iPhone myself (since I currently don't have a cell phone...text messaging? What's that?), but I'll be waiting for either more competitive pricing or an alternate device (I'm looking at you HTC Touch Pro...don't let me down).
