Sub-Prime in Graphics
If you're wondering what the "sub-prime mortgage/lending crisis" in the US is all about (not to be confused with the "Optimus-Prime lending crisis" ha ha!), here's a nice BBC article that explains it (along with some graphs).

And for those of your with ADHD, here's a video that sums up our North American consumerist problems:

Who's killing the electric car?
Apparently Stephen Harper is. Is it too late to turn this one around?

People actually listen to Facebook losers?
See this story about a delay in bringing in copyright reform legislation. Besides the obvious story of ACTRA being total asshats, does this suggest that a bunch of people joining a Facebook group actually had some impact on politicians? Man, I have to join me some groups.

Nuclear Saftey and You
Remember that time when a psudo-random bunch of people decided they knew more about nuclear safty than a bunch of experts IN nuclear safty? Really? Because it just happened today.

I can only imagine the type of question and answer period the politicians had with the experts: "Will it blow up? Yes or no. No maybes, no buts, just yes or no." I mean, I've been in software discussions like this:
"Can we do it?"
"Well, maybe, but we probably shouldn't..."
"Just tell me if it will work or not."
"It might work some of the time, but I don't recommend it."
"Great, so it will work for everyone all the time. We'll do it. Let the customers know we fixed it."
I can only assume they were grilled in the same binary way (no pun intended) and the answers were misinterpreted or misconstrued.

Rogers vs. Google — Round 1 Fight!
Looks like 200lbs Gorilla Rogers has gotten the negative attention of 600lbs Gorilla Google...hopefully this results in a win for consumers. Failure to stop this data tampering now will result in content publishers (like Google, E-Filler, etc.) encrypting all their traffic (thus rendering it tamper proof).

Tim Meadows in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
This movie is shaping up to be hilarious. This scene is priceless.

... kinda reminds me of the D.A.R.E program.
