Giant Insect Overload
This was posted on Slashdot: A giant (50m?) insect has been spotted on google maps over in Germany. Take a look for yourself here.

Apparently it was squished to the glass of whatever device scanned the images.

Middle Management
Last week I emailed a few friends who live in Toronto to see if anyone was up for beers and this is the response I got from one person (Brian Slowey):
no can do...finishing the rap album...

middle management performance with yours truly singing such hits as "Cake in the kitchen" and elevator to the second floor...dilbert rap revealed!

CD release party Friday October 6th @ Clinton's

WTF right? Well, it turns out he was serious: Middle Management...move over nerd-core, there's a new kid on the block.

Ipod to Compy
Hey
Does anyone have any input on moving files from an ipod to a computer? I have seen some freeware but it limits transfer to like 10 files.

Thanks

US homes have more TVs than people
No real comment on this, but I thought it was cool: the average US home has more TVs than people. It doesn't really make sense, though. If I have 2.77 TVs and 2.53 people, who's watching the remaining 0.24 TVs?

Google
Now that Google has introduced sponsored search (and by that, I mean AdWords), is there really any incentive for them to try and improve their organic search results? It's better, business-wise, for them to provide pseudo-crappy results, there by forcing the user to consider the other results (ads) on the screen. When the user then clicks the ad, intead of the organic link, Google gets paid.

Maybe this explains why their index seems so bad (full of spam) and their slow response.

Shitware
I don't know why I find this page so hilarious, but I do: Shitware. I didn't even read the threads, just the title and margins had me laughing.

Animal Rights
OK
So Paris Hilton and Banksy didn't fuel your fire. How about this game about CLUBBING BABY SEALS!

Paris Hilton Vs. Banksy CD Ripoff = I get a ton of Traffic to E-filler.ca

So I'm sure by now you have all heard about the "Underground Artist known as Banksy. If you haven't, well he has pulled off a few pranks as art before. Some including sneaking one of his own pieces, similar to this Monet Rip Off, onto the walls of an art gallery, where is stayed for over a weeks time.

His latest prank, involves the new Paris Hilton Album. Banksy grabbed a copy of said album, reworked the artwork to include cutting and pasting her dog's head onto a picture of Ms. Hilton. You can check out a video about the prank here. He also included a new audio cd on the Paris Hilton album which is rumored to be mixed by the great Dj, Danger Mouse.

And lastly for the animal lovers, Banksy also did a surprise art show a while back in which he assembled a large group of live spraypainted farm animals in an abondoned warehouse. He was not there to see this chick U-Lock her neck to one of the animals cages protesting animal rights.

I must say, I am a fan of Banksy's art. And yes, I am aware that some people might call his work vandalism. Unfortunately those people are unaware that they're wrong

Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the Paris Hilton/Banksy CD's are going for almost $1,500.00 CDN on ebay.

An NFL Team for Toronto?
An NFL team for Toronto...a blessing or a curse? It looks like Ted Rogers thinks it might be a good idea.

Matt Daly Update
For those of you who attended Assumption high school (in Burlington) and were wondering what ever happened to those arrested for Matt Daly's murder can find an update here. Apparently this hasn't gone to trial yet...the legal system sure does take it's sweet time.
