Pub Night: Toronto Edition
Since I don't have a pub-night page of my own, I'm going to piggyback on E-Filler for this one:

This Wednesday (July 26) will be the pilot for Toronto Pub Night. A quick google search suggests that the "Imperial Pub Tavern" offers free popcorn. In the words of Mike Burrell, "if the popcorn is half as free as they say it is, it should be good."

We'll be meeting there at 8:30PM. Here is the location on Google maps (54 Dundas St E.). It's centrally located, so everyone who wants to attend hopefully can.

Any questions?

Canada's Next Top Model
I know this is a little late, but here it is anyway: The fix is in...Andrea is Canada's next top model. Thoughts Mike?

Be a rogue nation of your own
Finally, you can live the life of Kim Jong Il with this USB powered missle launcher!

USB Foam Missle Launcher

At $50 US it's the perfect air defense for Andrew Delong's finger darts.

I wonder how far they go? More details here.

Andrew the Long, TV star
Andrew was interviewed by the high-budget, world-renowned Rogers Cable 13, and there are even some clips in there of his game Smashocosm. Haha please tell me that interaction between Mike and Andrew was scripted and you two aren't always that awkward talking to each other.

The trader man has finished
The dude has successfully traded a paper-clip for a house. Yes, go Saskatchewan!

Missile-laneous ...
With North Korea having tested missiles and threatening to continue, will Harper seriously reconsider singing a ballistic missile defence treaty with the United States? At least one fool thinks so.

Tales of Moving
Moving day (as a few of you know) started early yesterday at around 8:30-9AM and didn't finish until early this morning (around 2AM). Loading up went smoothly, thanks to the help of Andrew D., Oli, Greg, Andrew S., Albert and Aaron.

We left London around 11:30AM, and drove to Kitchener. In KW we picked up a few of my wife's belongings and headed to Burlington. In Burlington we dropped off some stuff and (yes) picked up _MORE_ stuff (although I'm pretty sure we left more than we took). By now it was 5PM. (The landlord said he was there in the AM and the tennants, while being difficult, were nearly done moving.)

I called my new landlord in Etobicoke to find out that the old tennants had not yet moved out, and that they were refusing to hand over the keys until midnight (when they're legally obliged to). My landlord was quite appologetic, and said he'd call as soon as he heard any word from them. If we didn't hear from him, we were to meet at midnight in front of the building.

11PM rolled around and still no word from the landlord. My dad, brothers and I began the drive to Etobicoke in the truck. We got there around 11:30PM and the old tennants were STILL moving out. By midnight their remaining items were on the lawn and we started moving in. Thanks to the help and heroism of my brothers, dad and the two landlords we were able to unload that entire truck in about 35 minutes.

Finally, we finished up a few minor tasks and drove back to Burlington...where I was unable to find an open gas station that sold disel. What a day.
