Welcome to the E-Filler Archive. This is where posts go when they're no longer welcome on the main page. Previous posts are organized by month.

Asian Quake Disaster
As I'm sure you have heard, tragedy continues in Asia, as the tsunami death toll is expected to easily top 100,000. Please be encouraged to donate anything you can ... every little bit helps.

It ain't new, but it's still funny.
This isn't new to the Internet, but it's new to me: Bubb Rubb, where did the channel 4 news find this guy? Watch the video and you'll see what I'm talking about.

"Woo woo!" - Bubb Rubb

Christmas
I'd just like to wish everyone a
Merry Christmas

(Especially those of you I haven't seen in person yet!)

J-Lo
Jennifer Lopez has a new hit in Quebec:
"Jenny from the Bloc"

I know, I'm hilarious.

One of us is famous
E-Filler's own Pete Clarke is mentioned on the UWO home page. (Direct link)

Way to go Pete! At least one of us has a shot at success...ha ha!

More banter
Just incase E-filler doesn't offer enough witty banter for you, I'm going to link the onion once again, to the response of a high-profile murder case in the United States.

so good. But not as good at brian's post of the scarred boob.

Useless Post
It's too bad that www.whatsthedilly.com is taken, but there doesn't appear to be a www.whatsthedilly.yo yet. Infact, I'm not even sure there's a .yo toplevel domain yet...but when it comes I'm sure there'll be a huge rush for whatsthedilly.yo.

Also, www.keepitonthedl.com is taken.

2004
What the hell happened this year?

2004 was chock-full of shocking, hilarious and disappointing and exciting occurences. Many bothered me deeply, such as Bush's re-election, and Martin winning. Others made me very happy, such as the Patriot's winning the Superbowl
.

What will you remember from 2004?

Cover Your Eyes
ok,
so i debated for a long time if the following should be posted here or not. but low and behold my attention span for studying has gotten the worst of me so here it is...

ok, hide your eyes kiddies, this is not for you. insecure girls however, open your eyes right up and see this! the following is a little "slip" that Tara Reid encountered. unfortunate for both us and her, it shows the grossness that is the boob job. ladies, no matter how small ur boobs are, that is no reason to scar them, mangle them, and desensitise them. all boobs are great, but really, not when they a monument to your own personal insecurity.

Site Changes
I made a few changes to the site today:

• Main title changed from 'E-Filler 2004'.
• 'Internal Links' removed, and placed above the news (Feedback, Admin and Archives)
• Added top threads and recent threads. Top threads are comment threads with the most posts, recent threads are the most recently posted to threads.
• Decreased the overall font to make it read a little easier.

What does everyone think?

PC Gamers
Hey all, I just recently installed Battlefield 1942, and in the process realized that I have Call of Duty and Quake 2 that support online play. What is everyone else playing these days? Or what is everyone not playing, but still has on their computers that can support online play? We should get some games kickin' since Christmas is just around the corner and work is at low ebb.

One Mean Hangover
The hangover. We have all experienced and dealt with it at one point in our lives. Some handle it better than others, some handle them much worse than others. Fortunately for us common folk, we don't usually have to deal with it on public television like this guy.

Enjoy!

Free vote?
"Although he is allowing a free vote on gay marriage legislation ? with the exception of cabinet ministers ? he said there would be no free vote on whether to invoke the clause." (Full article here.)

A free vote with the exception of the cabinet ministers...that doesn't sound too free to me? Can someone explain this?

Best Prank Ever
I have to say, it looks like the kids at Yale are one up on their Harvard counterparts for pulling this one off. There were able to get 1800 Harvard fans to hold up cardboard sheets producing the following:

You can view the webpage dedicated to the prank here. There's also a video of the spectacle going down.

Scientists' Just Hate Mice
Another great article on The Onion, talking about the real reason mice are used in scientific experiments.

Here.

Today
Things are awfully quiet around here today.

What's everyone up to? I'm back at the library writing this damned essay still. After that I get to look forward to studying.

You guys/girls? (Who am I kidding, girls don't frequent this site...)

Weekly Ken Jennings Update
Not to disappoint, here's some more info about Ken Jennings:

It looks like he's sold out to Microsoft. Ken is going to be the spokesperson for their Encarta Encyclopedia. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the guy is furthering his success and I think he'll be a great spokesperson...but why did he have to go work for the Evil Empire?

Oh those Americans
Fox news strikes again... Who is the woman speaking on this video? She seems painfully uninformed, and painfully American.

I seem to get an error about 33% of the way into it, can anyone watch the whole thing?

E-Filler 2005
As the title of the current site suggests, it will become outdated as January 1st rolls around.

What does everyone thing of updating or giving e-filler a fresh face for the commencement of E-Filler 2005?

Maybe we could have an on-going discussion with suggestions for what shape a new site would take. Maybe all it would need is a re-naming to compensate for the new year. Maybe it would be good to change the black background to something else. Anyways, whats the consensus?

After all, it woudn't be me that would be implementing the changes.

8-Ball
So, it turns out I was wrong (in reference to last night's game), I obviously have no idea how to rack the balls for a game of 8-ball. According to the BCA you need only place the 1-ball at the top of the rack, the 8-ball in the center, and a solid and stripe in the remaining 2 corners.

The 1-ball at the top of the rack doesn't seem to be a consistent rule, I guess it depends how you want to do it.

Thousands Suffer Paper-Cuts During Paper-Bombing
The Thailand government droped Millions of paper cranes on the Southern Muslium area of the country, with many children and elderly suffering from severe paper-cuts while attempting to retreive the coveted paper-birds.

"I just wanted to see the pretty cranes" reported one school girl, aged 6. "I looked up, and all of a sudden my eyes were filled with paper-cuts and blood."

What was orginally planned to be a sign of peace in an attempt to subside recent violence, turned into a horror just minutes after the dropping began. Many have argued the Thai government should undertake meaningful measures to provide the south with economic initatives that would help alieviate the poverty that has stricken the region. Instead, the prime minister said "the paper-cranes will bring peace and happiness for generations to come. This is a move designed to end the violence that has marred the region for decades. Those who throw away the cranes will have a more difficult time casting away the bombs that are to follow."

Windows sucks, Linux is a headache...where does this leave me?
As the title says: Windows sucks, and Linux is a hassle...so where does this leave me? Will my next PC be a Mac? The problem is that OSX runs only on Apple hardware, and I have an extensive collection of PC hardware. Not to mention the price tag that follows. Is there another alternative mainstream/commerical OS? I long for the days of BeOS...

Wedding Bells-a-callin'?
It seems most of us are now at the age where parents, grandparents, and relatives begin to urge us toward matrimony.

In lieu of the above, I am reminded of a funny joke I heard some time ago (the source of which escapes me):

"It seemed every wedding I went to, my grandmother would always point to me and say 'You're next!'. I was getting quite sick of it. She stopped when I started doing the same thing to her at funerals."

Clowns selling Pop
Look what I found at the Jones Soda website:

Photo depicts Brian Norris with two unknown girls in his room PRIOR to his move to the basement.

End of an Era
Well, it finally happened. Ken Jennings has lost at Jeopardy. Boo-urns! It was to some robot-like woman too...
